Student Experiences in Costa Rica

Jill E. Hoover

“I was a little skeptical at first because I thought it was going to be a traditional 'class trip' in which we just kind just go through the motions and wait for someone to tell us what to do next. But this trip had a good combination of scheduled activities but it also had a good amount of flexibility that let us as students figure the country out for ourselves.”

“This trip allowed me to leave my comfort zone. At frist I was a little worried about trying to communicate with the farmers and locals, but I learned that there are many universal language skills that can make communication easier."

“After the trip, I am now more aware of international markets and the effects that different countries can have on each other.”

“INTAG 481 is a great experience for any student. The classroom experience plus the cultural learning can’t be beat.”
