Student Experiences in the Ukraine

Edly Santiago Andino

"I never thought before that I will travel further than around my island of Puerto Rico...Going to Ukraine was something that I never thought it could be possible for me. You might think that you know there is a Europe just because you were taught...but not until you actually encounters new places, languages and cultures that can be found there did it become real to me."

"As a future higher education teacher, going to Ukraine and visiting a place that not many people in Puerto Rico have seen will give me the opportunity to share my experiences to the future professionals that I will teach. Traveling to other countries gives you more examples that might be beneficial to other people in your country. Moreover, it opens your eyes to never imaginable places, cultures and people...especially the people that you meet tells you that there are billions of reasons in this world with whom you can learn."

"As a person from a small island, participating in this course taught me that I am only a sand grain in this whole world... Students don't feel that until you travel abroad. You will learn more from actions than from theory... Pre-organized educational travels like this one shouldn't be ignored by any student who is working to be exceptional citizens...Without educational travel they will only be half of what they can be."
