Student Experiences in the Ukraine

Nicole Marinos

"I remember being apprehensive and thinking that it'd be scary to be in a country that I thought was so militarized. That no one would be friendly and that we'd be jeered at. But, wonderfully, this was not how it was at all. I saw some of the most beautiful architecture in the world, I got to visit some of the most historically important places in the world and I was able to meet and make friends with some of the nicest people I will ever meet."

"I feel I am a more well-rounded person, and I have a very important perspective to share because I was in a place that not many outsiders ever see, and therefore am able to be a spokesperson for those who never get a chance to share their side."

"If you want to travel abroad but don't want to be there a whole semester, this is perfect.
you learn so much and you come back a changed person."
