Student Experiences in the Ukraine

Randy Koontz

"I saw the best black soil in the world. The dormitory definitely exceeded my expectations. I lived on the first floor of the dormitory and it consisted of six rooms with each room having own bathroom. Also, located in the dorm was a kitchen and lounge. The kitchen had two stoves, washer, dryer and sink. The lounge includes a dial-up connection."

"It was very interesting trying to adapt to another culture while living in it for a short period of time. I have talked to many employers that are looking for individuals that have had international experience. If you have international experience employers will look at you closer."

"Study abroad is a life-changing experience. Studying a semester abroad opens a window to a new world of new experiences and sheds light on new options. International study brings fresh perceptive to international, political, and economic issues, interpersonal relationships, and career choices."
